One question we get in almost every quote request: should we book the open air photo booth or the 360 video booth? Both are a blast, but they do different jobs. Here is a plain-English comparison from our home base in Hamilton, NJ, to help you pick the right one for your wedding, sweet 16, birthday, or company party in Mercer, Burlington, Hunterdon, or Somerset County, or across the river in Bucks County, PA.

The short answer

If you want printed keepsakes and big, laughing group photos, go with the open air booth. If you want slow-motion, spin-around videos that guests post the same night, go with the 360 video booth. If you can't decide, the bundle gives you both.

The open air booth: classic photos, instant prints

Our open air booth is a camera kiosk with a touchscreen and a backdrop, with no walls around it. Because it is open, a whole bridal party or a group of cousins can squeeze into one shot. Guests tap the screen, strike a pose with the props, and walk away with a 2x6 photo strip a moment later. Every booth we bring uses a high-end mirrorless camera, so the photos look sharp and well lit.

The open air booth with 2x6 prints is $600. For weddings, birthdays, and other special events, it also comes with our complimentary scrapbook, so you go home with a book of your guests' strips and messages. (The scrapbook isn't part of corporate packages.) Prefer a little privacy? An enclosed booth is +$100.

Want the photos to look like a magazine spread? Add our greenery wall with an LED sign for +$200. It works indoors or under a tent and pairs perfectly with the open air setup.

The 360 video booth: motion, music, and social sharing

The 360 video booth is a platform where guests stand while a camera arm sweeps around them, recording a short video. With LED lights and special video props, the clips come out fun, dramatic, and ready to share. It is a great fit for dance-floor crowds, sweet 16 parties, proms, and receptions where guests love to post on social media.

The 360 video booth is $700. Keep in mind it creates videos, not printed strips, so if your guests expect something to take home in their hands, pair it with prints.

Side-by-side: which fits your event?

Guest favor: The open air booth gives guests a printed strip. The 360 gives them a video to share.

Group size: The open air booth handles big groups in one frame. The 360 shines with a few friends at a time.

Vibe: Open air feels like classic fun with props. The 360 feels like a red-carpet moment.

Keepsake for you: The open air package for weddings and special events includes the complimentary scrapbook. The 360 leaves you a collection of clips.

Budget: Digital-only starts at $450 for 4 hours, open air with prints is $600, and the 360 is $700.

Can't choose? Book both

Our 360 + open air bundle is $1,200. It is a great pick for weddings and big birthdays because it covers everyone: older relatives get their prints, and the younger crowd gets their videos. Two setups also means shorter lines during cocktail hour and dancing.

A few planning tips

Space matters. The 360 needs clear room around the platform for the camera arm to spin, while the open air booth fits neatly against a wall with its backdrop. Tell us about your room or tent when you ask for a quote and we will suggest the best layout.

Think about your crowd. A mixed-age wedding usually loves prints. A sweet 16 or a prom after-party often goes wild for the 360. Corporate holiday parties tend to like both, since branded prints sit on desks and videos land on company social pages.

Check the distance. We serve events within about an hour of Hamilton, NJ. Beyond that, or on routes with high tolls, a travel fee may apply, and we will always spell it out in your quote. We accept cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle.

See photos and full details for every option on our Photo Booths page, or send us your date through our quote form.
