Top 5 Photo Booth Trends of 2026

Every year we see new ideas at weddings and events around Mercer County, Central Jersey and Bucks County. Some are fads. Others stick because guests love them. Here are the five photo booth trends we're seeing most in 2026, and how each one can work at your celebration.

We're A Moment in Time Studios, a photo booth and event photography company based in Hamilton, NJ. Every trend on this list is something we offer, so if one catches your eye, we can bring it to your venue.

1. Greenery walls with a custom LED name sign

If one backdrop defines 2026, it's the lush greenery wall with a glowing LED sign of your names, your new last name or a short phrase like "Mr & Mrs." It gives your photos a garden feel even in a ballroom in January, and it looks just as good under a tent at a backyard party or vineyard.

Why couples love it:

  • It fits almost any color palette, from classic white and gold to bold modern colors.

  • The LED sign makes every photo feel personal, not generic.

  • It doubles as a photo spot for the couple, the wedding party and family portraits, not just the booth.

  • It works indoors or under a tent, so it's a safe pick if you're not sure about the weather.

Our greenery wall with a premade LED sign is a +$200 add-on to any booth. Want your names in lights? A custom LED sign is +$200 more and needs to be ordered at least 3 months before your event. See it in action on our Background Samples page.

2. 360 video booths

Guests don't just want a photo anymore. They want a short video they can post. A 360 video booth delivers exactly that: guests step onto a platform while the camera circles around them, recording slow-motion video that looks great on social media.

It's a hit on the dance floor, with the wedding party making a grand entrance, at sweet 16s and at corporate events where you want people talking about your brand. Our 360 video booth is $700, or get the best of both worlds with the 360 + open air bundle for $1,200: shareable videos plus printed keepsakes.

3. Open air booths instead of closed boxes

The old-school enclosed booth with a curtain still has its fans (we offer it too), but more and more hosts are choosing open air setups. Here's why:

  • More people per photo. Instead of squeezing three friends into a box, you can fit the whole table, the grandparents or the entire bridal party.

  • It shows off your venue. An open setup becomes part of your decor instead of a box in the corner.

  • It draws a crowd. Guests see the fun happening and want to join in, which keeps the line moving and the energy up.

Our open air booth with 2x6 prints is $600, and you can pair it with any backdrop. Prefer the classic look? The enclosed booth is available as a +$100 add-on. Compare all the options on our Photo Booths page.

4. Custom-branded print designs and overlays

A photo strip that matches your event is a keepsake guests actually keep. Instead of a generic template, more hosts want prints and digital overlays designed around their celebration:

  • Weddings: your names and date, in fonts and colors that match your invitations and flowers.

  • Birthdays, sweet 16s and milestone parties: the guest of honor's name and the theme of the night.

  • Corporate events: your company logo and brand colors, so every photo that gets shared promotes your business.

We create custom captions and branding for weddings, parties and corporate events, and the same design carries over to the digital copies guests share. Send us your invitation, color palette or logo, and we'll create a design that fits.

5. Instant digital sharing and QR code galleries

Printed strips are great, but guests also want their photos on their phones right away. That's why instant digital sharing has become a must-have. Guests get their photos on their phones right at the booth, and nobody has to chase down files after the party.

After every event, we also give you a QR code to an online gallery with all of the night's photos. Share it with guests, put it on a thank-you card, or just keep it for yourself. If you want sharing without prints, our digital-only booth starts at $450.

Which trend is right for your event?

You don't have to choose just one. A few combinations that work especially well:

  • Open air booth + greenery wall with LED sign for a classic wedding look with prints guests take home.

  • 360 + open air bundle for a party that wants both videos and printed keepsakes.

  • Digital-only booth with a custom-branded overlay for corporate events and brand activations.

We serve weddings and events within about an hour of Hamilton, including Hamilton, Princeton, West Windsor, Robbinsville, Ewing and the rest of Mercer County, plus Burlington, Monmouth, Hunterdon and Somerset Counties and Bucks County, PA.
